Furnace and A/C service - We service and maintain all brands of furnaces, air conditioners, boilers, and ventilation equipment. If your heating or air conditioning system stops working, fill out our maintenance form or give us a call at 608.437.6102 and we’ll be out to get you running again. We have relationships with many distributors in the Madison area, so we can find any part you need to fix your unit. We highly recommend yearly service for your heating and cooling equipment, but we’ll also be there for that weekend service call in the dead of winter or on that chilly Wisconsin night.

24 hour service – We offer 24 hour service 7 days a week to keep you comfy in your home. Replacement - We install a large range of products into your existing home to meet your comfort needs. Some of these projects include;

  • Replacing your old furnace and air conditioning system, with a more efficient and comfortable system.
  • Replacing your old boiler with a more efficient system
  • Adding indoor air quality products to your existing system to better control the quality of the air you breathe in your home.
  • All ventilation products that you may need modified or replaced in your home.

New Construction - We design and install HVAC systems for residential and light commercial new construction. From small to large homes, we are there for you to make your new home comfortable, efficient, and smart. Annual Maintenance - Yearly maintenance is something we strongly believe in at Brager Heating and Cooling. It keeps your system running safety, efficiently, and comfortably. Below is a list of your maintenance services.

Furnace maintenance:

  • Clean and inspect burners
  • Examine ignition system and replace if necessary
  • Clean or replace flame sensing system
  • Lubricate all non-sealed motor bearings
  • Replace or clean air filtering system
  • Clean condensate drain system
  • Inspect wiring and relays for shorts or corrosion
  • Examine heat exchanger integrity with inspection camera
  • Inspect venting and chimney draft
  • Check for proper air flow
  • Verify thermostat operation and replace batteries if needed
  • Verify proper combustion with combustion analyzer

A/C maintenance:

  • Verify proper refrigerant levels for efficient operation
  • Use gauge manifold to check compressor pressures
  • Verify superheat is at proper level for outdoor air temperature
  • Use sensitive thermometer to check temperature drop across evaporator coil
  • Clean condenser coil with a concentrated solvent
  • Inspect wiring and relays for shorts or corrosion
  • Lubricate all non-sealed motor bearings
  • Clean condensate drain
  • Replace or clean air filtering system
  • Check for proper air flow
  • Verify thermostat operation and replace batteries if needed

Boiler maintenance:

  • Clean and inspect burners
  • Examine ignition system and replace if necessary
  • Clean or replace flame sensing system
  • Lubricate non sealed motor and pump bearings
  • Verify proper water flow and pressure
  • Verify proper high temperature cut off
  • Remove any air from system
  • Inspect boiler system for water leaks
  • Examine heat exchanger integrity
  • Inspect venting and chimney draft
  • Verify thermostat operation and replace batteries if needed
  • Verify proper combustion with combustion analyzer
