We are a third generation heating and cooling family!

About Brager heating and air conditioningJames has been working in the HVAC business for 20 years. After high school, James attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he earned his bachelor’s degree, majoring in political science. James continued to work for the family business all through college. After a brief stint in Washington, D.C., James came back to work full time as an HVAC technician and salesman. He has found a niche specializing in energy efficiency and advanced technologies in the HVAC trade.

In October 2013, James purchased the business from his father Dennis. James currently lives on the west side of Madison. He is an avid outdoorsman, golfer, and traveler. He loves reading and debating about politics, and is always willing to have spirited discussions.

Dennis has been an HVAC technician for over 35 years. He started working for a plumbing and heating shop in Mount Horeb, and eventually started Brager Heating and Cooling in 1993. He is a master sheet metal worker and has a reputation of being able to fix anything. Many people in the Mount Horeb area have trusted Denny for a long time to be the watch dog for their heating and cooling systems. In October 2013, Dennis sold the business to his son James, but he still works full time.

Denny lives in Mount Horeb and is married to his wife Jackie. They have three children; James, Emily, and Adam. All of whom helped grow the business. When he’s not busy working or being with his family, Denny is probably out in the woods hunting, fishing, or collecting morel mushrooms.
